Carers Support Group
We all need support from other people, particularly at difficult times. It can help us to feel stronger.
As a carer you are doing a job that can be tremendously demanding, both physically and emotionally. The chances are you may be caring alone, probably with very little help from professionals or family and friends. You may have mixed feelings about your caring role. You probably often feel very isolated and alone.
Most carers feel like this, at least sometimes. They describe how their world closes in on them. However good you are at coping, there are times when you have had enough and need to let off steam. You want to be able to talk to someone else who understands how you feel because they are in a similar position themselves.
This is where the Melton Borough Carers Support Group can help – where carers can get together at a monthly meeting to talk, share experiences and support each other.
