COMMUNITY LINX

Community Linx is an informal meeting for voluntary groups and community representatives, such as yourselves, from across the Borough of Melton to discuss issues that relate to you. There is also representation from Melton Borough Council who are there to make sure that our interests are taken into account in their planning and policy decisions.

It is a chance for us as your umbrella organisation to bring together people with common aims and interests to share information, experience, skills and good practice. It gives us all an opportunity to find ways of sharing resources and linking together to strengthen our ability to meet the needs and interests of our local communities.

We can also alert you to training that might be helpful to you, such as the Food Handling event in June. Most of this training is provided for free. If there is other training that would be helpful please let us know.

Each quarterly meeting focuses on one or two subject areas. So far this year we have discussed the responsibilities of being a trustee, and looked at what the Melton Community Partnership has achieved so far, and where its priorities for the future lie. If you would like make suggestions about subjects you would like us to cover in the future please let us know.
